The consequences of the Industrial Revolution
You need to explain the consequences of the Industrial Revolution under the headings:
    TheGrowth of the Factory System
    Shift of Population
    Working Conditions
    Technological and Transport Developments
    Rise of the Modern City
    Environmental Pollution
Using the resource sheets (available on the lesson plan) and internet research you should aim to create a short paragraph about each consequence of the Industrial Revolution (outlined above).
You should then create a balanced conclusion answering the question: 'Was it a good time to be alive during the Industrial Revolution?'. This means you have to say how it was a good AND bad time to be alive.

On this page, you also need to identify a minimum of THREE key events during the Industrial Revolution. These events can be the invention of something such as the Spinning Jenny but you must JUSTIFY why you believe it to be a key event. See the example below if you are unsure of what this means:
A key event in the Industrial Revolution was the creation of the Spinning Jenny by James Hargreaves in 1764. This was a key event because it revolutionised the production of cotton as it enabled (allowed) the operator to spin eight threads at once and they only had to turn one wheel. Later this was increased to eighty threads which dramatically increased the speed of production.

You need to create a page that gives details about a minimum of THREE important people during the Industrial Revolution. You should include information on their dates (date of birth/death) and their contribution to the Industrial Revolution.
On this page, you also need to identify a minimum of THREE key events during the Industrial Revolution. These events can be the invention of something such as the Spinning Jenny but you must JUSTIFY why you believe it to be a key event. See the example below if you are unsure of what this means:
